Summer's So Close!!

I can hardly believe there's only three days of school left! This year summer is especially exciting because after 13 years of teaching in St. Johns County I have resigned as the art teacher at Palencia elementary and will be moving to Bay County particularly Panama City with the love of my life Jamie I kissed you thank yo this year is especially exciting because after 13 years of teaching in St. Johns County I have resigned and will be moving to Bay County particularly Panama City with the love of my life , Jamey!

Jamey came to St Augustine yesterday after his business trip to Tampa. I was excited to see him! We had our 'date night' at Prohibition Kitchen, a fairly new restaurant located in downtown St. Augustine. It was a cool place that reminded me a lot of the Ice Plant in st Augustine- except prohibition had live music 🎶! It was fairly crowded, we had drinks while waiting for our table .  When we finally got seated I brought up the touchy subject of my mom moving to Panama City . The conversation didn't go well mainly because I am still pretty worried about being in a new city with no connections or friends or family or support systems . I shouldn't be worried because I know Jamey and I will be able to work out a great arrangement but I let worry get the best of me. Plus we are both pretty stressed and busy- me with finishing school , him with work and both of us trying to get my house sold and vacated .
When we got home I put Rudy to bed and we woke up in the middle of the night to no air conditioning! I wasn't too uncomfortable but Jamey was miserable and decided to get a hotel room so he could get some sleep for his drive back to Panama City.  He came back in the morning so we could take my car to the Toyota dealership to get diagnosed / repaired after my check engine light came on during my attempt to drive to PC for Mother's Day weekend .
I also called the AC repairman who came while we were at the dealership .  We had just enough time to get brunch at cafe 11 which was delicious ! Roo had chocolate chip pancakes and I had salad, omelet and yummy plantains!
