Summer art camp
So today was the first official day of summer art camp at Village Academy. I took Maddi with me since she had a Dr.s appointment at 4:30. It went really well! I had 6 classes, each an hour, starting with the youngest group (5-6 year olds) first. The kids were great and I knew several from each group from Palencia elementary! Our project was painted flip flops. Tomorrow (9-12) the classes will be outlining their lines with black paint! Should be a great summer!

Monday Madness!
I'm not sure if it's because I got used to sleeping in until 9am with Rudy this weekend or the fact that we only have two weeks of school left, but I felt SO EXHAUSTED all day. Like Mondays need to be any harder!!! LOL At school, the art classes are painting their hand prints on the mural of the ocean and ship that I painted near the front office. It is looking pretty good!
After school Maddi, Rudy and I went on a trip to try to find Maddi a tan leotard for her dance performance on Thursday evening. NO LUCK! So tomorrow its off to Jacksonville. Yippy!
Sean and I took Rudy to the park around 7. It was muggy and buggy and it was sprinkling a little. Then WORST part was that Rudy tripped on the sidewalk and skinned his little knee and bumped his head!! Poor little guy. I tried to take him in to put ice on it but he did NOT want to go inside. He loves going to the park and being outside so I am really looking forward to summer when we have time to do more outdoor fun things.
Here's some pics of the wall, Rudy and Maddie.

Happy President's Day!
The best present ever is getting this Monday off of school!! YAY! Today has been spent turning in assignments for my last two UNF master's classes. I still have to return my running shoes and go to school to get stuff for my Digital Diorama project for my Tech w/literacy class. Rudy is napping. His second birthday is NEXT Saturday. Sean and I will be ordering him a strider bike online sometime week and a helmet. I think he is going to love it! He is growing so fast and is so smart! His favorite song that he always wants Madison or I to play for him is 'Take a Walk' by Passion Pit. http://youtu.be/dZX6Q-Bj_xgMy birthday was GREAT!! Well, kind of. Rudy was supposed to pick up Rudy on Saturday night but never showed up. So I was pretty disappointed....until Sean came over and brought dinner and sweet and thoughtful presents! So it turned out to be a nice night! Rudy didn't go to bed until almost 11:00 pm. I really need to get him on an earlier sleep schedule.
Valentine's Day!! 2013
Next weekend is the Green Schools Conference in West Palm Beach. I am really looking forward to it!

MANIC MONDAYs
Working on the yearbook and had the first meeting with the Palencia running club today. FETC is Wednesday in Orlando. I have never been but its far and I have so much to do, so the media specialist, Melanie and I were thinking about not going and just working on the yearbook. Now I think we are going to try to go. I just need to find out when we leave and when we would get back. So I'm working on that, my classes and the yearbook! Whew! That's a lot!Wednesday, January 30, 2013 | ||
